Authenticity
How we check watches
Before a watch joins the collection or is bought from you, we take a close look at it. The inspection is carried out by the owner or by a watchmaker. So you know exactly what you are buying.
Authenticity and originality
We compare case, dial, hands, bezel, crown and bracelet against the features of the reference and look for non-original or replaced parts. Reference, serial number and papers have to match.
Condition and function
Signs of wear, polishing, and the function of movement, winding and complications are recorded and described openly in the offer. Anything we notice, you hear about before you buy.
Papers and provenance
We state exactly what comes with the watch: box, papers, service records, extra links. Where the provenance is documented, we say so. Where it is not, we say that too.
Warranty
We do not offer a warranty of our own. If a manufacturer’s warranty is still running, the offer states until when.
